It’s that time of year again – the ‘Ultimate Blog Party’, hosted by the sweet gals over at ‘5 Minutes for Mom’!


Thanks for stopping by and a BIG, warm and fuzzy welcome to ‘Refuge for a Single Mom’!  My name is Christina, a single, CWAHM to two beautiful sons.  We live in the mountains of Maryland, with dreams of relocating to North Carolina!  *wink*  I run two businesses from home Personalways™ | Personalized Photo Gifts & Unique Gift Ideas and Bold Statements™ | Creative Graphic Design - Web Design, Logo Design & Promotional Items

I started blogging just over a year ago and really enjoy the creative outlet!  My initial intent was to reach out to other single moms looking for inspiration and encouragement.  Along the way, I’ve managed to get inspired and encouraged too!  *wink*  In conjunction with the blog are the main site and the online community – open to all single moms!

Feel free to make yourself at home here, look around, read some posts, follow some links and enjoy my new design!

  1. Having been a single mom for 9 years back in the day, I wish there was such a thing as blogging and the internet to get connected and find support. I am glad you are able to benefit from blogging in the way you do. Great party post, blog and party on!

  37. Great blog!! I grew up in a single parent household–only it was with my dad. He had custody of me and my older two siblings. My mom re-married and had 3 more kids with the oldest and me being 9 years apart.

    You know, my parents divorced when I was 3 (1982) and it wasn’t very common for custody to be given to dads back then. Anyhow, I’ve never been a single parent, but I do know it takes hard work!!
