Emotional abuse, in my opinion, is sometimes worse than physical abuse. As a single mom that has been in both types of relationships (physical and emotional abuse) I was always able to heal and come back from the physical abuse (bruises went away, etc) but the emotional abuse is what has haunted me for a long time. The words that were said will never 'go away'. By no means am I saying that physical abuse is a lesser evil than emotional because I know that there are the cases of physical abuse that end up killing...I was just stating from my point of view and my personal experiences :-) Wonderful post and very well said!
